During our recent two-week summer school, students had the exciting opportunity to dive into physics under the guidance of Ashok Dhillon. Working across different group settings, the sessions focused on: magnetism, electromagnetism, and electric motors.
To make these topics accessible and engaging, the focus was placed on interactive, hands-on learning. Rather than just studying theory from textbooks, the children participated in a variety of fascinating experiments. They investigated how magnetic forces operate, learned how electric currents generate magnetic fields, and discovered how electromagnets power electric motors.
Through these practical activities, the students not only built a solid understanding of key scientific principles but also developed teamwork. Their enthusiasm and curiosity brought fantastic energy to the summer school program.
